Get the VLC media player from App Store onto your iPhone. It allows users to remote play videos and music from network devices. Run the player, tap on its icon at the top left corner to open the side menu. Choose Local Network. VLC should automatically detect your Mac SMB File Server. Tap on your Mac name to open the Connect to Server screen.

Step 2: Now, on your Mac device, launch a VLC media player and go in the File menu from the top left and then select Streaming/Export Wizard. Now Check the Stream to Network option and press Next. This option allows you to stream movies and videos. Step 3: Now, you have to choose an input file from your computer. Open VLC player; Press CRTL + P to open Preferences. Select ‘Video’ Under ‘Display’ settings, turn off ‘Accelerated video output’ Click on ‘Save’ Now, try playing the video file to see if the scrambling is gone. Solution 2: Increase the Network Caching Rate. Open VLC player; Press CTRL +P.

VLC media player requires Mac OS X 10.7.5 or later. It runs on any Mac with a 64-bit Intel processor or an Apple Silicon chip. Previous devices are supported by older releases.
Note that the first generation of Intel-based Macs equipped with Core Solo or Core Duo processors is no longer supported. Please use version 2.0.10 linked below.

Support for NPAPI plugins was removed from all modern web browsers, so VLC's plugin is no longer maintained. The last version is 3.0.4 and can be found here. It will not receive any further updates.
